PRESS RELEASE – Pioneers Exhibition to be unveiled on 16th May @ YAA ASANTEWAA

camf_press_launch_eviteIn 2012 The Carnival Arts & Masquerade Foundation (CAMF) created an initiative to salute the Pioneers of Notting Hill Carnival. In preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the Notting Hill Carnival – the largest street Festival of its kind in Europe -, CAMF will launch a nine-day exhibition, celebrating the achievements and contributions of the Pioneers.

This exhibition will salute these unsung heroes, without whom we would not have the Carnival we enjoy today. These people gave the Caribbean community an identity and more importantly a voice that enabling the diverse and multi-cultural society we live in today.

We would like to invite you to the launch of the exhibition and hope that you will help us to spread the word about this very important exhibition that celebrates our heritage.
