Soca War Review – 24th March 2012

Talk about entertained (lol). Soca War’s definitely provided adequate entertainment.

There were girls wining on a stage that they didn’t want to get on but once they got up there and caught the vibe, they didn’t want to get off it.

Soca War was a island showdown fete between Trinidad and Grenada.

Representing for Trinidad was Lyrikal and for Grenada was Terror Kid. Both of these artistes put on a good show as the video below show.

The Crowd – although not plentiful, they were fully prepared for the showdown. They dressed in army wear with their flags at the ready and I am telling you they waved their flags hard representing for their islands.

The Vibe – ready for it is the only way I can describe it. You can tell that these people can out to have fun.

The Venue – Tudor Rose has provided a home for soca events for well over 10 years now. For what we need from a venue Tudor Rose pretty much offers it.

For the third time this week I saw new faces at a soca event. I love seeing this as it means as a community we are growing. Hopefully UK Soca Scene will be an instrumental part of that growth by being a one-stop place for all UK soca information.
