Poison UK’s After Work Lime on Carnival Thursday is the start of non-stop feting in the run up to Notting Hill Carnival 2013. It had a great turn out, nice vibes and music which was provided by some of soca’s finest DJs.

12 years and still going strong. Socalicious with it’s international line up of world class DJs sets the pace for Notting Hill Carnival.

Poison UK: Fire Friday – Friday 23rd Aug 2013

Orlando Perez, Fya Empress, Lil Rick, Bunji Garlin with Fayanne Lyons and a surprise guest for 5 minutes Destra Garcia. All for £15. This was truly a Fantastic (Notting Hill Carnival) Friday. The Coronet in Elephant and Castle was packed. The vibes from the crowd was amazing. The performances from the artistes were second to none. Poison UK once again you guys have put on a great show.

Panorama – Saturday 24th Aug 2013

The rain did not stop play and the Pansides definitely came to play their hearts out. I hadn’t been to a Panorama in a long while, but from what I saw and heard last night I will be taking much more of an interest in Pan. It has always amazed me how a big team of people can be so co-ordinated and precise to produce a sound and a vibe that moves you. The culture is strong in Pan. The Final Results are: 1st – Real Steel Orchestra – 268 points 2nd – Metronomes Steel Orchestra – 266 points 3rd – Mangrove Steel Band – 265 points 4th – Ebony Steel Band Trust – 259 points 5th – CSI Steelband Trust – 249 points 6th Croydon Steel Orchestra – 247 points

Soca Mafia: Oh Gosh – Saturday 24th Aug 2013

5 years in a row. Oh Gosh is one of the biggest fetes for the Notting Hill Carnival season. With a host of the best national and international DJs in the building the music was on point. Performing on stage was Triniboi Joocie, Lil Rick, Benjai, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons.

Notting Hill Carnival 2013: Carnival Monday – Monday 26th Aug 2013

Day 2 and one of the best days on the British calendar, Notting Hill Carnival Monday 2013. We were based with Eclipse Mas but went up and down to see other bands. This was Eclipse first year on the road and they kicked it off in style. Great costumes, music was on point, bar was stacked nicely and the security rope was more than a rope!
