Lava: Friday After Work Drinks – 29th June

What a way to de-stress

This was the first instalment of Friday limin brought to you by Shipwrecked. After spending a week in the office, we now have the opportunity to meet up with friends and discuss how much (or how little) we have done.

The Venue: Jewel Bar, Piccadilly – London. A celebrity renowned hotspot. Situated directly opposite Piccadilly Circus underground station. This building boasts a huge ground floor, but we occupied a smaller room on the top floor (and I feel sorry for them downstairs when the DJ dropped Advantage).

The Music: Predominantly soca with a splash of dancehall/reggae. DJ’s kept the vibes going to feed the stress relieving fetters.

The Crowd: By the look of it, everybody had a hard week and had a lot to get off their chests. The numbers were impressive, more than expected for a first night. The infectious vibe spread as people from the lower floors would come up to join in. At one point we were even joined by a group celebrating a Hen night.

The Vibe: Constant pace. From entering until leaving there was always something happening everywhere you looked. A different venue always brings a fresh feeling and that transpired into the vibe.

All-In-All: I’m glad this is back and I anticipate more visitors in the weeks to come. See you there next week
