Cocoyea Easter Fete Review – 9th April 2012

A nice end to a hectic weekend of fettin.

After the jumbies, boat and red eyes of the previous days, it was nice to get back to basics with a last lap lime.

The Venue – 101 Bar, New Oxford St. A nicer location with a heating/cooling system (that actually works). I like the transparency of the bar. A few people who started off just walking by ended up coming in and getting caught up in the infectious vibes. Plenty tables and chairs ideal for limin with even more space on the second floor.

The Music – Mr Martin Jay and DJ Tate were on point again with the best of today’s and yesterdays soca. It’s always good to hear some ‘back in times’ and the crowd surely appreciated it.

The Crowd – Those who came out made sure they made the most of their last night before heading back to work.
