Trinidad Carnival 2014: Carnival Monday 3rd March

0
We took to the streets of Trinidad for the first of two (great) days on the road. After playing J'ouvert with Coco Devils and Chocolate City in the early hours of Monday morning, (and taking an extended shower), we joined thousands of masqueraders in their bands in the hot sun. Check out all ... Read More

J'ouvert is a contraction of the French jour ouvert, or dawn/day break. Without a doubt my favourite part of carnival. I love the dark. I love the freedom. I love the carefreeness that ... Read More

Trinidad Carnival 2014: Blue Range Cooler Fete 28th Feb

0
Blue Range Cooler fete. To me it still remains the best fete of the Trinidad Carnival week. It’s a very simple concept. The venue is not to big, not to small. Entry fee (if you get your tickets early) is not to expensive ($300). Entertainment, great DJs sometimes an artiste or ... Read More

Trinidad Carnival: Flight Cruise Pandemonium Fri 28th Feb

0
The first edition of Flight Cruise was crazy. As for the second, this was a completely different type of mad as a spacious section of Maracas was sectioned off and reserved for absolute Pandemonium. Paint, alcohol, Bunji, Walshy Fire and some of Soca's best DJ's scattered around to take in the ... Read More

Trinidad Carnival 2014: Machel Monday – 24th Feb

Last night we attended a concert not a party, not a fete, a concert. Trinidad Carnival 2014: Flight Cruise – Sun 23rd Feb

Flight Cruise was our first cooler fete for Trinidad Carnival 2014 and what a ball we had. Set in the grounds of a stately manor house in what seemed to be a hidden secret of Trinidad. I have surely never been there before. The settings were perfect for the event. There ... Read More
