Carnival Skin Tip

carnival-skinThe carnival season is fast approaching and we here at She Soca (SS) are starting to get ourselves ready for the revelry and antics of Trinidad Carnival 2016. From our skin products right down to our multivitamins to help keep us going and going and yes going again.

We aren’t saying you have to follow exactly what we say like it’s the holy grail but we thought why not share the products that work for us with you and if they work for you also, great :-). We’d love to hear of any products within that particular region that you would recommend. Us ladies have to stick together.

This week we have decided to start with the our skin.

Skin types are varied such as oily/combination, dry and sensitive. All Come with their own bug bares. Most of us here at SS suffer from the dreading oily combination.

Imagine it’s carnival day. Everyone’s makeup is on point, gems shining and lashes fluttering. You look to your left and you see another gorgeous carnival queen, her makeup is still matte and looking like carnival just started. Then you look to your right and you see your reflection in a shop window and you’re re looking like you’re helping the sun to shine.

I can’t stand that feeling and let’s be honest your tissue starts to very quickly give up on you and that rag ends up on the floor or in the air. So the more help before hand with our skin the better.

We at SS have found a fab range available either in salon or at allocated distributors called KAESO they contain no parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, propylene glycol.

“The Kaeso ethos is to embody naturally derived ingredients with essential treatment formulas to deliver effective and luxurious professional products.

Kaeso’s unique formulations are made with the finest, natural ingredients to assure the highest quality skincare. Natural ingredients are a fundamental part of the formulas and have been from the start.  The formulation team at Kaeso source proven and effective botanical extracts and are committed to choosing ingredients that are renowned for their true benefits to the skin. Each product has been carefully designed to meet with Kaeso’s Innocence Criteria.  To meet this criteria all products must be free from Parabens, Sulphates, Propylene Glycol and Mineral Oil and then they are proudly stamped with the Kaeso Leaf of Approval.”

Their Rebalancing range for oily/comb skin is fantastic. Using all products in conjunction with each other helps to maintain the oil control.

We have personally found that unlike a lot of products you don’t have to wait weeks to see the results. We saw a difference within a week. (Happy smiles all round.) With a light consistency you don’t feel like you are pressuring your skin. And we can say that less is more. Due to its natural ingredients such as: Bearberry a natural astringent which helps the skin to lock in moisture reducing oiliness.

Pomegranate natural astringent to help protect skin against the environment and UV damage caused by free radicals. Also holds moisturising benefits. You don’t need to apply a large amount for the results to work.

Now for the best part the price isn’t bad at all completely affordable and after spending a lot already on flights fetes and costume every penny counts.

Here is the link for KAESO.co.uk so you can take a look for yourself and check out whereabouts in your area you could obtain these products.

If you have another product range that you swear by please let us know in the comment area below. As they say knowledge is power and let’s all be that person looking to the left and seeing that perfect matte faced carnival queen.
