In celebration of Trinidad and Tobago’s 50th Anniversary of Independence the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission, London (via the T&T Cultural Village) has put together a programme of events to showcase the talent and creativity that pours out of the country.
As part of the many different activities (all of which can be discovered here) we have been treated to an audience with non-other than Mr. Fete himself, Machel Montano.
Machel along with some of his band, Farmer Nappy, Patrice Roberts and many other artistes will be performing at The Tricycle Theatre in London every night until Saturday 11th August 2012.
This is an event not to be missed and I must say getting tickets isn’t that easy as these events are FREE. However, I know the resourceful amongst you will find a way 😉
We managed to get snippets of his performance on his opening night. Take a look and see the master at work.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Village and all involved for putting on these events. We hope to see many more events like these (they don’t have to be free) and a lot more workshops so we can continue to spread our culture far and wide.
