Halloween: What Will You Be Going As This Year?

Halloween: What Will You Be Going As This Year?

In the run up to Halloween the consideration is ‘what should I go as?’ And the response is pretty much based on non-Caribbean characters (boring).

I believe we are a big enough community with a substantial history to be able to have our own ‘Halloween’ characters.

So what if some of them come out at carnival time, there is no harm in bringing them out again.

Instead of dressing up as a:

  • Witch
  • Batman
  • Vampire
  • Zombie
  • Dracula
  • Scream scary mask

You should consider dressing up as a:

  • The Midnight Robber
  • The Bookman
  • Dame Lorriane
  • Jab Molassie (costume version as paint and oil may be frowned upon in a club)
  • Shortknee
  • Pierrot Grenade

The list can go on an on depending on how well you know your Caribbean history. But you get the picture right?

So for all the upcoming Halloween events you now have some ‘better’ options of what you can go as this year.

See you on the other side of the lens.
